Research and Clinical Interests

IBC-Focused Research

I am a current clinician and researcher at NCI Mexico. My work has focused mainly in the execution of Phase III clinical studies for breast cancer. I have been working on the first IBC registry within the Mexican population.

During my clinical research fellowship under the mentorship of Naoto T. Ueno, MD, PhD, FACP, I was actively involved in breast cancer clinical research. My work focused on the design, development and execution of clinical studies, involving predictive and prognostic biomarkers in breast cancer (especially inflammatory and triple-negative breast cancer)—as well as the development of Phase I and Phase II clinical trials for the treatment of metastatic inflammatory breast cancer involving targeted therapy.
